What is the BuyProperly marketplace?
Real estate has always been considered as an illiquid asset class with a long holding period. Though we recommend holding real estate investments for around 5 years, the BuyProperly marketplace is an easy to use, self-serve feature to provide more liquidity to our customers. The marketplace is an online platform to facilitate share sale and purchase between interested parties.

What are the benefits of BuyProperly marketplace?
For the sellers on the platform:
i) Liquidity: Through the BuyProperly marketplace, you decide when to sell your shares and liquidate your holding.
ii) Lower lock-in period: The self-serve online marketplace feature has reduced the lock-in period from standard 5 years to 90 days! You can list your shares for sale after 90 days from date of purchase or property closing date (whichever is later).
For the buyers on the platform:
i) Access to more deals: The easy to use marketplace sale functionality increases the number of properties listed for sale on the platform. More sellers imply greater choice for buyers! And also depending on when you invest, you can buy into a property for a shorter duration (example - by investing in year 2, you invest for 3 years rather than the standard 5 years).
ii) More control over your investments: With BuyProperly marketplace, you can easily optimize and diversify your real estate portfolio by moving your investments from one property to another.
